In The Shadow Of Blackbirds By Cat Winters

 Rating: 5 stars
In The Shadow of blackbirds was written for people who get that feeling that there's more after death. Winters became obsessed with the plague of 1918 so much, that she was compelled to write a book about it. Her imagination and knowledge of the historical event brings the story to life. Mary Shelley Black is the most intelligent girl you'll ever meet, (according to Stephen Embers) she's also the most beautiful. Is that why he chose to reach out to her, after he left for the war? He supposedly died a heroic death in battle, yet his spirit haunts Mary Shelley while being tormented by black birds. Mary Shelley is loosing her mind while her Aunt, whom she stays with, is loosing her patience. What really caused Stephen's death, and will Mary ever put her long lost love to rest? Your in for a bone chilling thriller, that'll have you questioning the after life. You'll maybe even hold on to the covers at night. Read it and weep.
